About All Saints Theatre

Our first production was “Buy St Agnes' Fountain”. This was staged on four evenings in March 2005 in the Crypt of St James' Church, Clerkenwell, when we were known as the Clerkenwell Players.

The theme of the piece – plans by the secular authorities to make Islam part of the establishment – anticipated the controversy aroused 3 years after the production by the then Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams' suggestion that aspects of Sharia Law should be incorporated into English law.

Our interest in the issue, and the conflict that it gives rise to, derives from the objects and work of Thea our majority shareholder.

We are currently working on two other pieces which dramatise the clash between American and English culture, and the cost of loving your enemies.
